If the ball rolls over your target and goes far to the left, move the target to the right about two boards. Or, move your feet to the left about three boards and go ove ryour usual target. Or, move your feet five boards to the left and the target three boards. Be sure to roll the ball with the same release and same amount of hook. If the ball rolls over your target and goes a little to the right of the head pin (or too light into the 1-3 pocket), move the feet to the right and angle more directly toward your target arrow.

Or, stand in the same palce and move your target about two boards to the left. Roll the ball with the same release and same amount of hook. By VADA SILVA Napa Bowl Special to the Register Napa Bowl is real proud of our junior bowlers.

In the junior city tournament a 18-year-old, A1 Robinson, shot a beautiful 299. Would you believe he left the 4 pin which Bel Aire Bowl gave to him. Im not sure what A1 did with it, sat it on the mantle or burnt it in the fireplace. Russ Mello, another 18-year-old, shot a fantastic game of 287, which was the highest game bowled in the Battle of the Bowls. The following are the Napa Bowl juniors that beat the Bel Aire juniors with high game and series: Rodney Johnson, 224-533; Jackie Joseph, 233-627; Keith Myers, 200-529; A1 Robinson, 201-590, Jeff Bean, 224-582; Casey Clouse, 205-523; Russ Mello, 287-728; and Rex Johnson, 200-561.

The total pins were Bel Aire Bowl, 4,245, and Napa Bowl, 4,673, so of course Gene Sousa, the owner of Napa Bowl, will receive a beautiful trophy to hold for a year. This was the first year for this event and like I said, We are real proud of our juniors. THE 23RD OF FEBRUARY was a big day. In the morning we had our No-Tap and we had a real good turnout. The winners are men, first place, Dean Morris, and second place, Rich Sullivan.

The woman winner was Maxine Steele. Then that night we had a 28-year-old get a little serious about this game. Rich Lockwood rolled a suburb game of 300. This was his fifth and each were bowled in a different house. Rich bowls in the Mens Major and Hawaii leagues.
