Chevy Corvette Go-Kart Has V8 Power And A Nitrous Systemhttps://lnkd.in/e_YVK87rA Corvette C5 is now an LS-powered go-kart that looks like a death trap on wheels.If we didn't tell you, we doubt you'd be able to guess that this go-kart started life as a Chevrolet Corvette.Born as a 1998 Corvette C5 Convertible, a bargain performance car, the go-kart has extensive modifications, including a custom aluminum frame, steering, front crash bars, and roll bar. There aren't any body panels left, making us wonder whether this car has anything of the original Corvette left.The powerhouse in this build is located at the back - a 6.0-liter GM Performance LS V8, making 400 horsepower from the factory. The engine has been modified with LS3 cylinder heads, Fuel Air Spark Technology LSXHR intake manifold, and Nick Williams Performance 103mm throttle body.More importantly, this go-kart is even equipped with a Nitrous Express kit - best to use on straights when kart racing. We're not sure how the car would hold up with a shot of nitrous, but the massive 3D-printed carbon fiber wings at the front and rear should help keep it planted on the ground. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic gearbox.

📢 MCLAREN SPEEDTAIL'S FLEXIBLE CARBON FIBER AILERONS! 📢The McLaren Speedtail's ailerons are integrated into a huge single-piece carbon-fiber clamshell that extends all the way from the rears of the doors to the tail of the car. The actual structure of the clamshell changes as you get towards the back of the car! 🤩The two ailerons are pushed up by hydraulic actuators to a maximum of 4.7 inches, which is actually about an inch than on the Speedtail show car you see here. The ailerons can provide an air-brake effect like the spoiler on a 720S, but Gibson explained that they're mainly used to balance out the aerodynamics of the car based on speed. For that reason, they don't move separately from one another either. 🤔One of McLaren's main goals for the Speedtail was creating a car that could slip through the air for brutal acceleration (0-186 mph in a claimed and ridiculous 12.8 seconds) and a high top speed (250 mph).
